In 2005, Centre Chrétien Métropolitain ( and EAJC decided to pool their resources in order to offer to those who are alone and/or impoverished a place of peace, joy and compassion. La Tablée du Quartier was born of this inter-ecclesiastic fraternal union. Since May 2006, on the last Saturday of each month, La Tablée du Quartier offers a free meal in the EAJC’s basement. Moreover, grocery bags are distributed to those in need. “(…) share your bread with the hungry…” Isaiah 58:7 (NKJV)

Given the size of our premises, a maximum of 80 beneficiaries can be accommodated for the meal. This is why the beneficiaries must call (514-273-4739) every month to reserve their place.  The usual date to make a reservation is the 15th of the month, but because our offices are closed from Saturday to Monday, the date to make a reservation can be postponed to the Tuesday following the 15th of the month.

Please note that La Tablée du Quartier does not discriminate anyone based on age, ethnical group, religion, place of residence, social status, or any other characteristic a beneficiary may have.

Do not hesitate to contact us, it will be a pleasure to meet you.

P.S. La Tablée du Quartier is a member of the Collectif pour la Sécurité Alimentaire in la Petite-Patrie (a gathering of different organisms offering meals and groceries to those in need in la Petite Patrie area). Other non religious members of this gathering of organisms that can also provide additional help are:
